Contemporary Design
The starting point for this project comes from observing mechanical gears in different artefacts.
“I have always been fascinated by mechanical constructions and joinery in general. The pinion gear allows several movements in mechanics, and this very interconnection between different gears has inspired me to create this collection of tables,” — says designer Simone Affabris.
Each table is made from oiled oak wood and features a round brass plate right at the centre of the tabletop. This subtle detail not only adds a sophisticated touch but extends the concept of mechanics to the materials and final appearance of the table.
Lightweight Pinion tables can be arranged individually or in a composition of your choice. The tables are convenient when decorating living rooms, welcoming guests in the lounge area or may serve as elegant bedside tables.
What is more, the clever construction allows flat packing Pinion tables for easy transportation or compact storage when not in use.
