Vintage Burr Walnut Extending Coffee Table from Bevan Funnell

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely vintage Bevan Funnell, Burr Walnut, extending sofa / occasional table. A very well made and decorative piece, this table is of a Regency design, and was called a sofa table, it would literally sit behind a sofa and when your butler served drinks and snacks it could be extended over the arm of a sofa This was is very nice as its in Burr Walnut all over, usually they are in beech or plain mahogany, it has twin drawers to the front, one of which has the original Bevan Funnell label in. Condition wise we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be age and use related patina marks here and there, there are some scratches on the left panel. Dimensions Height:- 75cm Width:- 98cm extending to 148cm Depth:- 59cm. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
